Vinyl Institute Announces Formation of Industry Advocacy Alliance

January 14, 2025

The Vinyl Institute (VI), a U.S. trade association representing the leading manufacturers of vinyl, is proud to announce the formation of the Chlor-Vinyl Industry Alliance, a coalition dedicated to advancing integrated advocacy efforts across the vinyl value chain and serving as a central resource for regulatory engagement.

“We are proud to announce this new alliance to advocate on behalf of the vinyl industry,” said Ned Monroe, president and CEO of the VI. “In anticipation of the next phase of our engagement with the regulatory community, we are convening expert voices and perspectives from every level of the vinyl value chain to serve as a primary information resource. Building off the progress made through the VI- managed technical consortia over the past four years, this next step will allow for stakeholders to take ownership in promoting the essential role vinyl plays in modern society.”

The Chlor-Vinyl Industry Alliance consists of stakeholders in production, conversion, recycling, distribution, retail, design, installation, specification, and product use.
