LU = 'Learning Unit', CEU = 'Continuing Education Unit', PDH = 'Professional Development Hour', to name a few! These are all acronyms for units of continuing education. AEC Daily typically relies on the unit 'hour', but you might see other units of education in course details pages and other places with in depth information about a course or session.
AEC Daily reports credits to the AIA every 10 business days. If you have taken the same course previously, the AIA will not recognize the new credit. If you have waited longer than 10 business days and have not taken the course previously, please email us at: info@aecdaily.com. Include your name, email address, and details about the course you are requesting follow-up on.
Please ensure that your AIA membership number is present on your aecdaily.com account details page. If it is not, AEC Daily will be unable to report your credits on your behalf. If you have just added the membership number, please contact us at: info@aecdaily.com so we can process the credit for you.
When looking at courses on the AEC Daily website, click the ‘show credit and association’ link which will generate a list of the associations that recognize that course for a credit. You can also browse course listings by relevant association .

Your course or session completion will be confirmed via email. This email will contain a link to your certificate of completion. For on-demand (online) courses, you can immediately access your certificate of completion in your transcript after achieving a passing score in the post-course quiz. For webinars and face-to-face events, certificates of completion are usually available within 2-4 business days following the end of the session.

Yes, you may retake a course anytime. However, many associations restrict how frequently a course may be retaken for credit. AEC Daily will only report a course for credit on your behalf once in a three-year period. We report credits to the AIA, LA CES, IDCEC, USGBC, and LA (Florida). Please verify the rules about retaking courses with your associations and licensing boards.

There are a couple of simple ways: First option is to view the course details for the course in question and then click 'Show Current Course Approvals' link. All associations that the course is registered with will be displayed. The second method is to visit the AEC Daily 'Certification' tab, and select any association from the list. All courses displayed in the ensuing page are registered with that association.
All completed on-demand and webinar/face-to-face education can be found in your transcript. Even if a course has become 'inactive' since you completed, the record will be retained in your transcript. Each course in AEC Daily is associated with a post-course quiz. Upon achieving a passing score on this quiz, the course will be marked as completed. Every AEC Daily on demand course provides a quiz link at the end of the course materials. The quiz is password protected - YOU'LL FIND THE QUIZ PASSWORD CLEARLY MARKED WITHIN THE COURSE MATERIALS.
With very few exceptions, all courses and live learning events found in AEC Daily are free!
Webinars and Face-to-Face Learning
Some of our webinars are integrated with 3rd party services such GoToWebinar, Zoom, etc. In these cases, you should expect to recieve a join link directly from these services (usually) 24 hours prior to the start time. For other types of webinars, the join link should appear in your Registration Confirmation email. You can also resend this email to yourself by visiting your Transcript and clicking the 'Resend Email' button beside any upcoming session you are registered for.
It usually takes 2-4 business days for webinars and live learning sessions to be fully finalized and confirmed. If you have been waiting longer than 4 days, please contact us at livelearning@aecdaily.com and let us know which session you are experiencing an issue with.
