Not all types of storage lockers are the same, and each facility application calls for its own specifications. There are many different requirements to consider for locker selection. This course reviews the functional and operational needs of users in health and fitness centers, schools, athletic team locker rooms, medical facilities, industrial and manufacturing sectors, and law enforcement facilities. The features and components of metal, wood, phenolic, and plastic lockers are discussed, and guidelines are presented for specifying the right locker solution for user needs.

Name: Thom D. Champa
Title: Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, List Industries Inc. / Art Metal Products
Background: Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Thomas D. Champa (Thom) moved to South Florida in 1984 where he began his career with List Industries Inc. At that time, List Industries was the smallest locker manufacturer in the country who had recently relocated its operations from Chicago to South Florida. After a short stint out on the shop floor, Thom was moved into the Sales Engineering department where he spent the next eight years, first preparing shop drawing submittals and processing orders for production, then as Manager of Drafting and Order Entry Services. Thom then relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio to begin his sales career where he worked as a Field Sales Representative for one of List Industries’ most successful school market locker dealers. After two short years, Thom was re-hired by List Industries as a Regional Sales Manager for the Great Lakes region. In 1995, he was relocated back to List Industries’ Deerfield Beach, Florida headquarters as Pricing and Marketing Manager. In 2007, Thom was promoted to Vice President, Sales & Marketing. As List Industries continued their rapid growth becoming one of America’s largest locker manufacturers, it was necessary to divide their sales teams to focus on individual markets. Thom was promoted to Senior Vice-President, Sales & Marketing in 2012 and has built three separate successful sales teams led by his Vice President of School Market Sales, Vice President of Industrial Sales, and Vice President of National Accounts. During Thom’s career with List Industries, they have grown from the smallest locker manufacturer in the US to the largest in the world. Thom credits their mutual success to the very close relationships they have with their dealers and their continued commitment to provide the highest quality lockers in the industry.
