In this presentation, we will review general wall categories, reinforced vs unreinforced walls, size and depth of units, wall batter, and best practices for wall engineering. We will also review how soil, or the lack of suitable soil, impacts wall stability and the economics of a project. Fencing and guard rail options will also be discussed in relation to long-term occupant safety.
