Background: Andy Horgan was born and educated in the UK where he studied architecture and design. After graduating, he worked for London-based architectural/design practices focused on the retail sector. In 1994, he relocated to the US and started his own practice with a primary focus on designing with innovative technologies, including insulating concrete forms (ICFs). He has spent the last 25+ years working in the ICF industry, consulting with A/E design and construction teams in Europe, the Middle East, and North America, and is considered by his peers to be a subject matter expert within the ICF industry. The last 15 years have been focused on design consulting on commercial applications for ICF in the K–12, higher education, and military sectors throughout North America.
