This course introduces best practices to make concrete more sustainable and lower the embodied carbon in concrete with its use and application.

He is an American Concrete Institute Fellow, received their Sustainability Award, and was ACI Ambassador Speaker to the 2015 International Decorative Concrete Technology and Application Conference in Beijing, China. Rowland has been a LEED® Accredited Professional since 2004 and is a former director of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council chapter of the USGBC. Rowland is a recognized expert on the topics of sustainability and architectural, decorative, and ultra-high-performance concrete. He regularly speaks professionally to concrete materials industry professionals, architects, engineers, students, and green building practitioners on the topic of low-carbon concrete and sustainable construction.
