Background:
Mary McClenaghan is the managing principal and cofounder of 39° North Architects, LLC, a Philadelphia-based architectural firm providing a diverse range of architectural and interior design services for commercial, educational, residential, and hospitality clients. She brings over 30 years of experience to the firm. Ms. McClenaghan chairs the AIA Pennsylvania Legal Reform Subcommittee and is a Pennsylvania Architects Licensure Board member. Ms. McClenaghan has held a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Certificate for a decade. Registered in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and locally, Ms. McClenaghan maintains membership in the Philadelphia American Institute of Architects, participates as a committee member on the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee, and is an Advisory Board member for the Community College of Philadelphia.
Christopher D. Ling AIA, NCARB, is the founder and principal of ARCHforensic® LLC, located in Chester, New Jersey; he is an award-winning architect and professional planner who has been working in the construction industry since 1986. He is licensed in twelve states and holds the NCARB Certificate. Mr. Ling was chair of the AIA New Jersey Professional Practice Committee and maintains an active design practice. As a consulting expert in architecture, he has written reports in more than 400 construction cases amounting to more than $1 billion in claims and has provided testimony in multiple mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances, including federal court. In addition to his experience testifying, Mr. Ling also leads educational webinars, teaches seminars to the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Construction Law Practice, and has written for various publications. Mr. Ling has been interviewed for CBS’s Inside Edition and has also appeared in HGTV’s House Hunters.
J. Sanders Tate AIA, NCARB, is principal in Watson Tate Savory in Columbia, South Carolina, where he has been the principal-in-charge for many significant higher education and institutional buildings. He also has maintained a focus in interior architecture throughout his career and has significantly contributed to the firm’s many award-winning interior renovation projects. Sanders serves on the South Carolina Board of Architectural Examiners, having served two years as its chair.
Robert Boynton FAIA, Hon. RAIC, NCARB, has over 60 years’ experience and served as NCARB’s president in 2003–2004. Bob was appointed to the Virginia Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, Certified Interior Designers, and Landscape Architects in 1992 and served as its president in 1996–1997 and 2015–2016. Additionally, Boynton served on the NAAB Board of Directors from 2005 to 2008 and held several positions with the AIA, including president of AIA Virginia and chair of the National Ethics Council.
