Unique applications and “industrial strength” are what distinguish specialty door hardware from standard door hardware. This course provides a review of specialty door hardware with a focus on the specific components that make up this category, including a discussion on applying specialty door hardware to specific projects.

Background: Dan Lorden, National Sales Manager for Richards-Wilcox, has been in the specialty door hardware business for 30 years working extensively with the architectural community. His wealth of experience includes managing satellite sales offices and the company’s hardware distributors. In his role as sale manager Mr. Lorden also has field experience working with contractors for project requirements. He has introduced a number of unique hardware products based on input from the architectural and design community and interfaces with Richards-Wilcox Engineering for special designs and applications for specialty door hardware.
