Presenter Information
Name: Arthur Klipfel
Title: President & CEO, GreenStaxx
Background: Arthur Klipfel is the founder of Oaktree Development and GreenStaxx. He oversees project acquisition, and as a licensed architect, the design aspects of project development. He has a strong financial background and plays a major role in creating project budgets and structuring joint ventures and partnerships.
While working on the design and development of multifamily projects, Mr. Klipfel noticed that most residential buildings are comprised of stacks of units that repeat from building to building. He believed that with emerging computer interfaces this repetition could be captured to create an iterative system of designing and constructing residential buildings including an option for off-site/modular fabrication. The resulting system became the foundation for GreenStaxx, with the mission of offering the process to residential developers and their architects at a national scale.
It is his hope that use of this system can increase the number of units provided to the housing market while lowering costs and increasing quality.
