ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hilton Garden Inn® Arlington/Shirlington is proud to announce that it has earned The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Rating designated by the U.S. Green Building Council to encourage and facilitate the development of more sustainable buildings. This is the first LEED certified hotel in Arlington county. The hotel was constructed by Herman-Stewart Construction of Lanham, Maryland, with Program Management provided by Development Management Group of Ellicott City, Maryland. The LEED program was managed by Beery-Rio Architecture of Springfield, Virginia, in consultation with the Project Architect Awbrey Cook McGill, San Diego, California. Achieving LEED certification was based on design and construction elements.
