New Technology For Fiber Optics Upgrades Key To Enhancing U.S. Broadband Speeds; Kabel-X Nears Completion On Major Cable Overhauls Projects in Ohio and Hawaii MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kabel-X USA, a Miami-based technology startup founded in 2007 and affiliated with the commercial real estate company, Adler Group, has begun converting old telephone and CATV networks to modern fiber optic cables, using a proprietary technology which threads new glass fibers into the old cables without costly and disruptive digging. Two large-scale conversion projects nearing completion in Ohio and Hawaii will be the first fiber optic upgrades in the U.S. using the Kabel-X system.
