Jacobs Receives Contract From NASA for Aerospace Testing Support at Ames Research Center

PASADENA, Calif., June 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it received from NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) the follow-on contract to provide aerospace testing and facilities operations and maintenance at Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, Calif. The contract has a potential value of approximately $200 million with a two-year basic period of performance and three one-year award options. Its effective date is July 1, 2009. In making the announcement, Jacobs President and CEO Craig Martin stated, "We are pleased to continue our longstanding relationship with NASA and our support for Ames' world-class aerodynamic and aerothermal test capabilities that are vital to current and next-generation aerospace programs." In this project, Jacobs serves as the prime contractor, and has teamed with two subcontractors: Sierra Lobo Inc. and Qualis Corporation. The team will provide support for aerospace testing, and facilities maintenance and operations, including project development, operation of support facilities, and maintenance of aerospace facilities at Ames.
