Initiated in 2001, Flex Your Power is California’s Energy Efficiency Educational Program for highlighting and recognizing organizations, businesses, governmental agencies and other entities that have shown leadership and made exceptional contributions toward saving energy in California. The campaign’s primary funding comes from the Public Goods Charge as approved by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), as well as contributing munis and partner organizations and companies. Awarded December 15, 2008 in San Francisco, category winners were chosen after careful review by a committee of leading experts from the public and private sectors.
