Since 1978, Southface has worked with the construction and development industry, government agencies, and communities to promote sustainable homes and communities.
Recognizing that buildings produce half of all U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, we believe that sustainability initiatives focused on the built environment are an important key to addressing global climate change. Southface is also strongly committed to helping people live, work and play in comfortable, healthy buildings that save money by conserving energy, water and other natural resources.
To accomplish these goals, we offer a wide variety of programs and services, all of which are based on sound science, and all of which are inclusive of every member of our community. But to continue these efforts, we need your ongoing involvement!
If you haven’t already visited Southface to see green building in action, then please sign up for a tour! Take one of our many green building classes, or join us for the region’s leading green building conference and tradeshow, Greenprints, which is hosted annually by Southface and the Georgia Environmental Facilities Authority (GEFA). Interested in regional sustainability policy? Then come and participate in the monthly Sustainable Atlanta Roundtable forum and hear experts discuss issues from transportation to water, housing to food security.
