Enter Early to Gain More Social Votes in Generation Kingspan™ Competition

September 24, 2012

DELAND, Fla. – The earliest entries for the Generation Kingspan™ Student Architectural Competition at www.GenerationKingspan.com have the most time to gain social votes for their designs with Kingspan Insulated Metal Panels. Kingspan Insulated Panels North America is a global manufacturer of Insulated Metal Panels for building construction. Kingspan launched the competition in August to challenge emerging architects to create innovative, energy efficient, net-zero energy and sustainable designs with Insulated Metal Panels. Active now through November 7, 2012, social voting occurs within Generation Kingspan’s online design community as the public and wider design community can assign badges of excellence to a design in one or more of the three main elements of the competition: design vision, sustainability and energy efficiency. The commenting capabilities at www.GenerationKingspan.com enable students entrants to get feedback from architecture experts as well as other entrants while discussing the designs for potential crowd-sourced learning opportunities. The online community winner will be the design that accumulates the most badges. The Generation Kingspan competition is for students of architecture and gives competitors the chance to win internships, scholarships, cash, and a laptop totaling $22,000 in prizes. Generation Kingspan contestants can get ahead of the pack now, especially within the online community, by entering the competition early. Submissions for Generation Kingspan must be received before midnight October 31, 2012. The Generation Kingspan competition will culminate with a Grand Prize winner selection in November at the Greenbuild 2012 International Conference and Exposition in San Francisco. The Grand Prize winner will be determined from the design that draws the most votes at Kingspan’s booth during the show.
