Five Years Later, Scottsdale’s First LEED Gold Building Still Model For Energy Efficiency

-- Completed in 2006, the award-winning Arizona building has more than proven its worth for commercial developer Liberty Property Trust and partner DVLA. -- SCOTTSDALE, Az.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bill Fisher knew that the three-story, 123,000- square-foot call center was in serious trouble. Fisher, Senior Project Manager for Liberty Property Trust, was tasked with the tall order of getting the facility’s over-budget construction back on track. But with some quick thinking and a partnership with the HVAC specialists at the PA-based firm DVLA, the project flourished, going on to become Scottsdale’s first LEED Gold building, signifying its high-level energy efficiency. Now, five years after the project’s completion, Fisher and Liberty Property Trust still use the building -- which won awards for sustainability and best new office building in Scottsdale -- as a model for other projects.
