The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Southern California will celebrate the Grand Opening of its Coachella Sales Center on April 21 at 10 a.m. PT. The Coachella Sales Center will be Coca-Cola Enterprises' first LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified facility in North America. The newly constructed 60,000 square-foot facility, located on Industrial Parkway in Coachella, obtained LEED Gold certification, the second-highest level of LEED® certification. Constructed with recycled materials, it will be the only LEED® certified building in Coachella. Among its environmentally sustainable features are solar panels, native plant landscaping, water conservation devices, cool roofing, comprehensive recycling and a 100 percent storm water retention system.
