- Architectural & Security Gate & Fencing Systems
-
1 hour program
The course provides an overview of gate and fencing systems, which are both functional and decorative, and are designed to meet modern security and design requirements while harmonizing with the surrounding environment. At the end of this program, participants will be able to identify a wide range of exterior and interior applications of today’s fence and gate systems based on their functional, decorative, and security requirements. We will discuss today’s fence and gate systems in terms of their composition, materials, coatings, and finishes, classify gate track configurations, hardware, hinges, and locking mechanisms. We will identify the performance elements of various types of fencing systems, and the attributes of a variety of infill panel designs. Finally, we will assess factors such as security, efficiency, aesthetics, and the sur rounding environment, and specify the most appropriate gate and/or fencing system for a specific application.
