- Recognize the need for entrapment protection on motorized commercial and industrial doors to minimize the risk of injury to personnel and damage to products or equipment.
Describe the functional and operational aspects of sensing edges for motorized commercial and industrial doors.
Differentiate between sensing edge actuation methods and monitoring functions.
Specify the appropriate sensing edge to meet the design and safety requirements for specific building projects.
Identify relevant industry codes and standards, and discuss the future of safeguarding standards for motorized commercial and industrial doors.
Evaluate accreditation criteria to determine how to select a qualified door subcontractor.
