Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
- Discuss the history of custom showering history and recognize key trends in design and technology.
Identify five important pre-planning considerations for a custom shower to ensure efficient use of water, adequate water pressure and drainage, and water temperature safety features which meet the demands of the installation.
Configure a custom shower taking into consideration size and space allocations vs. the personal needs and physical requirements of the user.
Plan and design with imagination and shape the water delivery that a client desires.
Evaluate and specify custom plumbing products and finishes to help a client create a functional, safe, personalized shower environment.

Background: Today's shower routine is anything but "routine." As Senior Product Manager, Michael has overseen the development of high-performance, award winning designs that have elevated the everyday shower into a ritual of relaxation, renewal, and rejuvenation. In his 5 years at Kohler, he has led the Performance Showering category through tremendous growth and new market opportunities. In addition to the new product development, Michael has produced and conducted dozens of training seminars to help architects, designers, showroom associates and contractors facilitate the transition to the high end showers of today.
He holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin, MIM from the University of St. Thomas, and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
