Oldcastle Glass(R) Introduces New Exhibition Booth

Two-Level Structure Showcases Glass and Metal

SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Oldcastle Glass(R) introduced their new exhibition booth today at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Convention and Design Expo in Los Angeles. The two-level structure was custom-engineered to illustrate Oldcastle Glass(R) Envelope(TM), a comprehensive range of architectural glass, operable windows, and curtain wall products designed to close the building envelope.

Flanked by a 20' tall Bentemp(R) glass tower, the structure features a glass staircase and glass railings leading up to the mezzanine. Sliding doors, all glass entrances, aluminum windows and entrances, high-performance insulating glass, blast windows, and glass floor inserts are among other features considered unique for one booth. A scale architectural model of a multi-story office building with a curved curtain wall facade is used to demonstrate the performance of SunGlass(TM), solar control glass. Flatscreen monitors highlight Oldcastle Glass(R) projects and the blast mitigation system.

About Oldcastle Glass(R) - Today, the designers and creators of our modern world continually push the limits of what a building is and can be. Yet project timelines shorten and buildings become more complex. At Oldcastle Glass our response is simple: Unify glass and structure to create seamless building envelope solutions. Never before has glass and structure spoken the same language so fluently. We are where glass becomes architecture.
