National Provider of Cool Roofing Technology Announces New Reflective Roof
ERSystems, Inc. Introduces KynaKote, EG 1000 QC and EG CleanCoat
ROCKFORD, Minn., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Representatives from ERSystems,
Inc. announced today the launch of three new products in their roof coating
line. The products include ER KynaKote, a coating that adheres to Kynar500
based paints used on metal roofs, Eraguard 1000 QC, a quick cure coating
that dries independent of humidity and Eraguard CleanCoat, a coating that
resists dirt pickup.
"These products address a strong need in roofing technology that we've
identified based on customer feedback and our own industry observations.
CleanCoat in particular has been needed for reflective roofing for quite
some time," said CEO Tim Leonard. Leonard added all three new products were
formally introduced at the International Roofing Exposition in Las Vegas in
February.
KynaKote adheres to existing fluoro-polymer based paints. The product
exhibits excellent color retention, resistance to mildew and stains, and
physical properties improve as it is exposed to sunlight. Other roof
coatings typically do not adhere well to pre-existing fluoro-polymer based
paints like Kynar 500.
ER 1000 QC addresses the problem of curing in humidity and sets nearly three
times faster than other roof coatings. ER CleanCoat incorporates both Teflon
and Kynar to provide a highly reflective surface that is also extremely
resistant to dirt pick up.
Leonard and his brother, Tony Leonard, own ER Systems and its sister
company, Prairie Technologies. Both companies are based in Rockford,
Minnesota. ER Systems was founded by James Leonard in 1993. The company
