Name: Charlene Wall
Title: Ecology Health and Safety Team Leader, BASF Corporation
Background: Charlene Wall is responsible for BASF's North American Eco-efficiency Analysis program. She promotes and facilitates the application of life-cycle analysis tools to support sustainable development, such as Eco-efficiency Analysis and Socio-eco-efficiency Analysis. She has conducted numerous Eco-efficiency Analyses in the construction industry, in addition to many of the other industries served by BASF. After acquiring a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University in 1992, she held positions at BASF in Product Development, Process Design Engineering, and Safety and Ecology. In addition, she chairs the American Institute of Chemical Engineer’s Center for Sustainable Technology Practices, an industrial group comprised of leading chemical firms with the goal of promoting sustainable practices in industry.
