- Describe important features of a modular railing system and list common applications.
- Discuss the benefits of designing with stainless steel and how it can contribute to LEED® points earned on a project.
- Identify the various types of modular railing systems available in the marketplace, and summarize their specifications.
- Recall the various system components available for modular railings and the ways in which they must conform to IBC 2009.

Background: Huzefa Tinwala comes from a family with an extensive background Ornamental Metal. He did his schooling in Mumbai, India with an undergraduate in Construction Engineering. After a few years of high-rise construction experience, Huzefa moved onto earn his Masters in Construction Management from Texas A & M University.
After completing his masters in 16 months, he then worked for several top General Contractors like The Haskell Co., McCarthy and Hill & Wilkinson. With his roots in Ornamental Metal calling and seeing the void of a quality railing product line at an affordable cost, Huzefa and his brother Mark started VIVA Railings, LLC in 2004.
Under the leadership of Huzefa & Mark, VIVA Railings has been fortunate to earn the trust of Architects & Contracts throughout the North American and other countries as a provider of Premium Turnkey Railing Solutions.
