Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
- List the basic components of paint and describe the role each plays in forming a durable protective film.
- Specify the appropriate paint system according to the project requirements.
- Discuss the “green” paint options available to address indoor environmental issues on a project.
- Describe eight common paint failures, why they occur, and the steps to be taken to correct and prevent further issues.

Title: Director of Marketing, The Sherwin-Williams Company
Background: Joe Kujawski began his career with Sherwin-Williams in 1984 and is currently the Director of Marketing for the Company’s architectural coatings business in North America. He has held many sales, marketing and management positions with Sherwin-Williams, including Commercial Branch Manager, Professional Coatings Representative, Sales Manager and District Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Old Dominion University and an MBA in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University.
