Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
- Discuss the discrepancy between the effective wall R-value and the insulation R-value in a steel stud exterior wall.
- Employ the notion of dew point to identify the location within a wall where condensation will occur.
- Define the typical magnitude of building air infiltration and what it means in terms of energy costs.
- Define and discuss the use of continuous insulation and how it mitigates energy losses due to air infiltration, condensation and thermal bridges.

Doug joined Dow Building Solutions in 2006. He has been with Dow for 7 years in sales, business development, and marketing roles.
