- Discuss the technologies of solar air heating systems for various building sectors, and explain how they offset the traditional heating load of a building.
- Discuss the environmental benefits of solar air heating systems in terms of their ability to improve indoor air quality, displace greenhouse emissions, and deliver an economic renewable energy solution for the sustainable built environment.
- Detail solar air heating system design and installation considerations.
- Analyze case studies of successful solar air heating installations.
- Analyze the sustainability benefits, attributes, and performance criteria of solar air heating systems relative to qualifying for credits under today’s green building programs.

Title: VP of Operations, Conserval Engineering Inc.
Background: Victoria Hollick is the VP of Operations at Conserval Engineering Inc. (SolarWall® Division). She currently serves on the New York Solar Energy Industries Association Board of Directors and was also on the Canadian Solar Industries Association Board of Directors from 2006-2010. She has been involved in solar thermal policy in Canada and abroad and has had a life-long interest in solar and became further interested in effecting environmental & renewable energy policy while completing a graduate degree in economics. She has also been featured in prominent trade journals in Canada, USA and Europe on solar air heating and the need for “Renewable Heating” strategies.
Conserval Engineering invented and commercialized solar air heating for the commercial, industrial and agricultural sectors around the world with the technology that was subsequently branded as “SolarWall®” (or SolarWall PV/T for hybrid heat and electric applications). Past and currents users of the SolarWall® air heating technology include the US Army, NASA, Owens Coring, 3M, Ford, FedEx, Wal-Mart, Jaguar/Land Rover and several thousand private & public sector organizations and agricultural operations in 30+ countries.
