Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
- Define what a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is, summarize the history of its development, and understand the importance of LCA standards.
- Describe the LCA tiers and compare LCAs to Product Category Rules (PCRs), Eco-labels, and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
- List and define the four phases of the LCA process and identify the important role each of them plays in the creation of a concise, meaningful, and reliable LCA.
- Describe the ways companies can use an LCA and other marketing strategies to demonstrate to consumers their commitment to sustainable practices.
